Last Tuesday (March 14, 2023) we were pleased to welcome Dr. Laura Czech from the Center for Synthetic Microbiology at the University in Marburg to our graduate program. Prior to her great talk about “Stress adaptation in bacteria: from osmotic stress response to membrane protein biogenesis”, she shared very interesting insights into her research work, personal career path and family management during a casual pre-talk-meeting with our PhD students, while her husband was able to take care of their young children in one of the parent-child rooms of our University. We thank Laura and her family for the inspiring visit and wish continued success in their private and professional life.
