Today we had the pleasure to welcome Prof. Carsten Sachse from the Forschungszentrum Jülich. Prof. Sachse was hosted by our PhD student-team Laura Fischer (Schroda lab) and Lora Ruggiu (Herrmann lab), who also organized the pre-talk meeting of their colleagues and the guest on leadership skills and on recommended steps to become a group leader in science. The highly appreciated talk of Prof. Sachse entitled “Probing the structural mechanisms of ESCRT-mediated membrane remodeling and autophagy by cryo-EM” was organized in cooperation with the Biological Colloquium of the Faculty of Biology at RPTU. It was great to have Prof. Sachse as our guest, and we thank him for his visit and an inspiring afternoon..
