As part of our guest lecture series in winter term 2025/2026, the STRESSistance doctoral students team Annika Egeler (Cell Biology) and Laura Pirrung Martinez (Neurobiology) invited Dr. Neele Drobnitzky from the BZH Heidelberg to present and share her experiences with electronic lab books with us today. Her lecture, entitled “Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (eLabFTW) – Why They Are Important and How to Use Them Effectively,” and especially the lively discussion that followed, highlighted the pros and cons compared to the hardcopy lab books that are currently mainly used. We would like to thank Neele for her detailed description. And, of course, our two organizers, who chose this topic, which is equally interesting for our doctoral students and PIs.
