During today’s Practice & Theory seminar with Tanja Maritzen, our doctoral students learned a lot about strategies for resolving protein function. This included information on how to use litereature and databases for gaining information about the protein of interest (e.g. on the structure/domains, expression, localisation, interaction partners etc.), as well as on various biochemical and microscopic approaches (appropriate model systems, loss of function experiments, siRNA, shRNA, CRISPRi, gene editing and much more). Thank you Tanja for a very nice and informative seminar.
