Yesterday, our PhD students were trained in time management by our PI Sabine Filker. Good time management does not mean to frantically try to make use of every minute of your day. It means using your time wisely, i.e. only for what is worthwhile for you, both at work and in your private life. The seminar taught strategies for recognizing personal goals and planning how to achieve them, as well as methods for setting priorities, creating efficient day and week schedules and avoiding time wasters. Good time management can lead to a healthy, balanced lifestyle that manifests in reduced stress, increased energy and efficiency, reduced procrastination and less errors.
